Terms of service
The rules for using Moamao, written to be read. During the open beta, the honest headline is: the service works, it will change, and we'll tell you when it does.
Effective date: 2026-07-05
Service: Moamao (https://moamao.com)
Contact: hello@moamao.com
By creating an account or using the Moamao API, you agree to these terms. If you're accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind it.
1. Beta status
Moamao is in open beta. Anyone can create an account, but the service is provided as-is and as-available during this period. Features may change, endpoints may break, and availability is not guaranteed. Breaking API changes will be announced on the changelog before they take effect, but during beta the notice window may be short. Do not build anything on Moamao during beta that cannot tolerate change.
2. Your account
You are responsible for the credentials on your account and for all activity under them. Tell us immediately at security@moamao.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Acceptable use
You may not use the service to:
- create, process, or distribute content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or ours;
- attempt to access, extract, or infer other customers' data, prompts, traces, or keys — including through prompt-injection or side-channel techniques;
- probe, overload, or circumvent the service's security or rate limits, except through our responsible disclosure process;
- resell the service as your own without a written agreement with us.
We may suspend accounts that violate these rules. Where practical, we'll warn you first.
4. Bring-your-own-keys (BYOK)
When you supply your own provider keys, the usage those keys generate happens on your provider accounts, under your agreements with those providers. You are responsible for complying with each provider's terms, acceptable-use policies, and payment obligations. Moamao orchestrates calls with the keys you supply; it does not extend, replace, or shield you from your provider agreements.
5. Billing
During the open beta, orchestration is provided without charge unless we agree otherwise with you in writing. Paid plans, run pricing, and refund terms will be added to these terms at commercial launch, with notice before anything starts costing money. Provider usage under BYOK is always billed to you by your providers, beta or not.
6. Your content and our license
You retain ownership of your prompts, outputs, and traces. For runs processed by Moamao Cloud, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, create derivative works from, distribute, license, and sell that content and any data derived from it — including to train and improve our models and to build and monetize products, datasets, and insights. This does not apply to BYOK runs, which go only to the providers whose keys you bring and are governed by their terms. Accounts are included by default; you can opt out of the sale, sharing, and training use of your future runs in your dashboard settings (see the privacy policy). We never sell or expose your provider keys, password, or payment details.
7. Disclaimers
Model outputs are generated by third-party and open-weights models and can be wrong, even after cross-critique. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them, especially in high-stakes settings. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Moamao's total liability arising out of these terms or the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or $100 if you have paid nothing), and neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Termination
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts for violation of these terms or, during beta, if we wind down the beta program — with as much notice as we can reasonably give, and time to export your traces.
10. Governing law
Governing law, venue, and the contracting entity will be specified here before commercial launch — one of the things the open-beta terms are honest about not having settled yet.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be dated above and noted on the changelog; continued use after a change means you accept it. Questions about any clause: hello@moamao.com.
